MWIGA Mambo is Nomad Safari’s resident chimpanzee expert
Together with Inquirer Red and A2A Safaris, Rockwell Land held at the Kirov model unit the first of the intimate affairs that it will regularly hold for the benefit of its discerning clients.
A2A Safaris is a company based in Asia, which specializes in organizing high quality, tailor-made Safari to Africa adventures. Through regular trips, the company’s consultants have gained the knowledge and expertise to organize such tours, as well as access to the leading luxury tented camps and lodges in the most pristine and untouched wilderness areas in Africa.
One out of a series of highly interesting and engaging affairs, the said event highlighted the unique experience that the Tanzania Safari has to offer. Tanzania boasts the legendary Serengeti National Park which, for nine months of the year, is home to the greatest concentration of migratory game in the world—over three million herbivores and the predators that hunt them.
Mark Houldsworth, who is the managing director, and a co-founder of Nomad Tanzania, shared to Rockwell Land’s guests the highly exceptional experience that awaits them in Tanzania. Previously a professional photographer, Houldsworth started of as one of the first co-managers of Sand Rivers Selous. It was not long before however that he and his colleagues established their own company, Nomad Safari Guides, which guided adventurous mobile safaris across Tanzania’s northern circuit. They are also one of the founders of the glamping developments in East Africa, following the great migration.
Also present was Mwiga Mambo who has spent much of his young life in the forests of Mahale and is Nomad Safari’s resident chimpanzee expert at Greystoke Mahale. As soon as he finished his education, he returned “home” to the Mahale Mountains and in 1996, started work as a Tracker at Greystoke. He has spent the last 20 years in the forests of Mahale and there is little he doesn’t know about its varying species’ residents, including chimpanzee.

Dubbed as Bespoke: Custom Luxury, Rockwell’s latest affair featured designer suits and accessories from Signet, limited edition timepieces from Jaeger-LeCoultre, the finest concoctions from Remy Martin, the most stylish ride with Rolls Royce and other tailored experiences—all hand-picked to suit the taste of the finest class.
Showcasing the best of the best, guests were likewise treated to a special performance by premier Filipino American comedian—Rex Navarrete. Also part of the program was the presentation of Metro Society’s most esteemed men who were featured in the Men In Suits section of the magazine’s issue for March.
